Tescan SEM Control Software
VegaTC and MiraTC
are a dedicated 32-bit Windows™ platform applications, which control all functions of the scanning electron microscope, including image processing, archiving and report genertion. The aim of the software team was to create the most comfortable GUI possible, with an intuitive control system that also contains a host of automated SEM control capabilities. Control software makes microscope operation as easy as possible, allowing even inexperienced operators to obtain high quality, reproducible results.
Software is extendable with numerous Extension Modules ...

Multi-user environment with different levels of rights: Basic, Expert or Supervisor. Microscope configuration is stored for each user separately.
Password-protected accounts for unlimited number of users. |
 | Multi-language support: Software has built-in support of Unicode and all dialogues are localizable into any language.
|
 | Built-in automated procedures make a work with a SEM easier. Even inexperienced operators can be assured of high quality images and comfortable operation and setup.
In pursiuit of simplify microscope operation and to ensure reproducible high quality results, Tescan SEMs offer a comprehensive array of automated procedures, including Vacuum System Control, Filament Heating, Gun Alignment, Focusing, Astigmatism Correction, Brightness and Contrast, Compensation for kV, Optimization of the Spot Size, Optimization of Probe Current, Scan Speed Optimization, and Look Up Table.

During operation of the microscope, a user can open multiple scanning windows. New images are automatically displayed in the active window, while all other scanning windows are frozen. The microscope operating conditions (e.g. magnification, detector, scan speed, etc.) are independent for each scanning window, and are automatically changed whenever a different window is selected (by simply clicking on the window). With VEGA, it’s a simple matter to have fast, multiple views of your sample, whether they are different magnifications or different detector images.
Work on multiple monitors and a fullscreen mode are also possible.
|
 | Image Handling. Up to image size of 8,192×8,192 pixels in 16-bits per channel acquisition, image processing and archivation is possible. Standard file formats such as TIFF, BMP, JPEG, JPEG2000, PNG, GIF, PGM, PPM are used. Intuitive Image Manager helps you to organise your images with fast search among image acquiring conditions.

 |
Report Generator is a powerful tool for fast creating reports with export to multiple formats, including MS Word (RTF), Open Office, PDF etc. Selected images are automaticaly loaded into predefined or user-prepared templates.

Software standardly allows Remote Control of the microscope utilizing the TCP/IP protocols. Remote users can execute all basic operations of the microscope, including system set-up, motorized stage control, and image acquisition. Remote control also offers the opportunity for remote system diagnostics.
