TESCAN Brno hosted the Final Workshop of the STEEP project, a Marie Curie Initial Training Network, co-ordinated by the University of Nottingham and aimed at developing researchers in the field of energy beam processing. TESCAN ORSAY HOLDING is a member of the international consortium in this EU-FP7-funded initiative.
The Workshop attracted more than forty researchers and experts in the fields of focused ion beams, laser ablation and abrasive water jet processing. They represented prestigious companies (Rolls-Royce, ON Semiconductor, WaterJet AG) as well as respected academic institutions (Fraunhofer IISB, EMPA, University of Nottingham, KU Leuven, etc.) Invited lectures were delivered by Dr. David Pleha from ON Semiconductor, Prof. Massimiliano Annoni from Politecnico di Milano and Dr. James Kell from Rolls-Royce.
