It has been recently found that nanosilver particles have antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. This makes them suitable for improving fibers used in polymer nanofibrous membranes. The general challenge in production is to control the distribution of silver particles on the surface of the fiber and control the silver particles agglomeration. The TESCAN VEGA3 scanning electron microscope is an ideal instrument to observe single silver particles and their distribution on the fibers surface.
