Queensland University of Technology acquires TESCAN MIRA3
Queensland University of Technology acquires TESCAN MIRA3
Nov/15/2016
The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) has purchased a TESCAN FE-SEM MIRA3 XMU system from AXT – our distributor in Australia and New Zealand
The
MIRA3 system
is equipped with an
EDX spectrometer
allowing microstructural and chemical analyses. This high-performance FE-SEM is to be installed at the Central Analytical Research Facility (CARF); a laboratory that houses state-of-the-art instruments for analysing physical, mechanical, chemical and biological properties of solids, liquids and gases.
The instrument will be used for diverse purposes such as research of polymer scaffolds for bone healing, corrosion studies on stainless steel, studies on multilayer materials for solar cell devices, and, electron beam lithography applications.
