This new structure has led to a review of some global opportunities and therefore following TESCAN’s extensive sales growth in the USA and China (where subsidiary companies TESCAN-USA and TESCAN CHINA are already established). ‘TESCAN ORSAY HOLDING’ has now formed a new subsidiary company TESCAN-UK Ltd. This new subsidiary will allow TESCAN ORSAY HOLDING to be directly involved with the important UK SEM and Focused Ion Beam market via the new UK based company.
TESCAN’s UK business has been handled prior to this change by ISS-Group Services from Manchester as part of their high quality technical support for various brands of electron microscopes and related equipment.
With effect from 1 December 2013 ISS and TESCAN have jointly ended the Distributor Agreement which started in 2007 and has been responsible for placing a growing number of TESCAN systems in the UK and Ireland. TESCAN-UK will continue to collaborate with ISS for service of the installed systems alongside TESCAN expert service engineers.
TESCAN UK Ltd. has now established a Cambridge based Sales, Applications and Service facility and is actively recruiting key staff to expand the operation and grow the UK market for TESCAN ORSAY products.
