In this application example, the ultra-high resolution (UHR) scanning electron microscope (SEM) MAIA equipped with the Triglav™ column and the Mid-Angle BSE detector optimised for low beam energies has been used to localize and image quantum dots (QD) – immunolabelled thin sections prepared on glass slides. This is due to the enhanced contrast and the excellent performance at low beam energies needed to detect QD probes. The results show here, can be useful to research in tumour cells and in other cell biology research.
