Multiscale imaging of 18650 Li-ion battery

TESCAN is proud to share this latest publication from our customer at the Imec-Vision Lab (University of Antwerp, Belgium).  The Antwerp group focuses on developing “novel image reconstruction, processing and analysis methods” and purchased TESCAN UniTOM XL for its un-paralleled flexibility enabled by a high number of motorized stages.  This feature allows for a variety of different unique imaging geometries, the primary topic of this very interesting paper.

Microcomputed tomography has become an important tool for many research applications and the group at Antwerp clearly recognizes the potential. The non-destructive ability to provide 3-dimensional information of internal features is a gamer changer in how we are understanding the world around us and solving today’s engineering problem.

TESCAN micro-CT products are designed for high throughput and flexibility; offering novel dynamic CT workflows enabling a wide range of 4D applications in many areas.
