Fly ash particles
Understanding the causes of air pollution is important in order to reduce climate change. This is one of the major focus areas at The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI). LabCompare magazine recently published an article about their use of a TESCAN SEM with EDX, which enables the scientists to look at the individual contamination particles to analyze their size, shape and elemental composition in order to determine the potential sources of pollution.
