TESCAN announces their new Nanomanipulator for TEM sample lift-out and manipulation applications performed in TESCAN SEM and FIB-SEM instruments

TESCAN Nanomanipulator delivers smooth and predictable movement essential for in-situ TEM lamella lift-out.

TESCAN has released their own newly developed Nanomanipulator designed for operation in TESCAN SEM and FIB-SEM instruments. TESCAN Nanomanipulator supports TEM sample lift-out as well as micro- and nanoscale manipulation under both room temperature and cryo conditions. TESCAN Nanomanipulator provides movement along the X, Y and Z axes, and is controlled directly from a module within TESCAN’s Essence microscope control software.

This solution was designed within TESCAN to ensure compatibility with both TESCAN software and TESCAN hardware present in the chamber. TESCAN Nanomanipulator operation is controlled without leaving the microscope live view window, with navigation performed using mouse gestures. Additionally, TESCAN’s design reduces vibration during lift-out or manipulation for smooth and predictable movement. The Nanomanipulator`s arm can be unmounted quickly and easily for probe exchange outside the chamber.

TESCAN Nanomanipulator is an excellent solution for TEM lamella lift-out, manipulation for prototyping and electrical probing applications that don’t also require sample rotation or advanced manipulation capabilities.
